Eminem Unveils ‘Curtain Call 2’ Greatest-Hits Album with a previously unreleased song

Eminem has announced his second greatest hits album, Curtain Call 2, and is set to release on August 5 via Shady Records/Aftermath Entertainment/Interscope Records, marking the first time the Detroit-based MC has released such a collection since Curtain Call in 2005. After previously teasing the project, Eminem has officially announced the release of his new greatest hits collection titled Curtain Call 2. Eminem announced his new album Curtain Call 2 with the collab single “D2 The LBC” featuring Snoop Dogg. Eminem dropped from The D2 The LBC — the set’s first single, featuring Snoop Dogg, last month.

Sharing an early music video for From the D2 the LBC, the rapper included a Snoop tag in his post, which further indicates the availability of their new single on his next album. His new song comes one week after Eminem dropped the CeeLo Green collaborative track entitled The King & I, which appeared on the soundtrack to Baz Luhrmann’s film Elvis. The rapper appeared to hint at a follow-up to his 2005 greatest hits album Curtain Call, as his social media posts on the song included the hashtag #Curtaincall2. While Eminem has not officially announced an album, the news of a sequel to Curtain Call naturally sent Stans of Eminem on social media into a frenzy.

Based on new music videos and Eminem’s tag on Instagram, it seems like Curtain Call 2 is expected soon. According to the press release, the first single off her forthcoming album will drop shortly. Eminem revealed the album will drop on August 5, just weeks from now. Eminem’s sophomore greatest hits collection will include material from Eminem’s 2009 album, Relapse, up until now, including work on side projects, guest appearances, and songs on the soundtrack, according to a Monday’s media release by Interscope Records.
